Program Definition


The Level 4 & 5 Diploma in Management for Travel & Tourism is a 120 credit course designed to fast-track students to the final year of an associated Undergraduate degree in Travel and Tourism, which can either be completed at a UK university on campus or via distance learning.

The Level 4 Diploma in Management for Travel and Tourism is a 60-credit qualification that requires learners to complete 3 core units and an additional optional unit. 

The Level 5 Diploma in Management for Travel and Tourism is a 60-credit size qualification and is the equivalent level to the second year of a degree. Learners must complete the 3 mandatory units totaling 45 credits and a further 1 optional unit to make a total of 60 credits to achieve the diploma.

Level 4 Content Sustainability in Tourism and Hospitality Management On the successful completion of this unit, learners will understand the principles of sustainable development and the level of planning involved to achieve sustainable development in tourism and hospitality. Level 5 Content 1. Tourism Destination Management In this unit learners will develop knowledge and understanding of national and international tourist destinations, the culture involved and the characteristics of the population. Learners will also look at current trends and their impacts, together with selling in the context of the travel and tourism industry. 2. Entrepreneurship in Tourism and Hospitality Management This unit provides knowledge and understanding of the skills set and characteristics of entrepreneurs in context of the travel and tourism industry.
